The explosion on the British Petroleum (BP) Deepwater Horizon rig
about which we have written here has led to disastrous consequences.
Every
day, 800 thousand liters of oil continue to pour into the waters of Gulf
of Mexico. This is the most terrible thing that happened in the history
of oil production.
Similar incidents on the drilling rigs were not witnessed for more
than 50 years.
On the platform Deepwater Horizon an explosion
occurred. At the time of the tragedy there were 126 workers. 11 of them
are declared missing. After two days of fire, the oil rig sank.
